The following describes how to view a Person Report.

NOTE: Depending on your search results, you may see flag indicators in certain columns. These flags indicate a potential risk, which may prompt further investigation. For more information, refer to Risk Indicators.

The LexisNexis® SmartLinx® Person Reports present a complete picture of a specific person. The reports are comprised from more than 34 billion public and proprietary records analyzed, filtered and linked through our proprietary algorithms.
The report presents data in clear, intuitive sections and subsections. Use the left-hand side of the page, which contains links to specific report sections, to quickly navigate to the section you’re interested in. Report sections that have no content will show a zero count (0) and will not be linked.

NOTE: Clicking a link will expand that section of the report if it is currently collapsed. Sections of the report may be collapsed by default; check your Report Display settings on the Find A Person search form.

The following is a list of report sections with a brief description of each:

Properties |
The person summary contains an overview of the report subject. This
section contains the “best” contact information, At a Glance, and a summary
of the subject’s identifying information: Name Variations, Social Security
Numbers (SSN), and Date of Birth (DOB) information. The “best” contact information we have pertaining to the person is at the very top of the report. This includes the subject’s name, address, DOB, SSN, LexID®, telephone and email. “Best” information is typically the most current and/or most complete information we for an individual. The section called At a Glance highlights key aspects of the report,
including counts for such things as: • Current real property holdings • current personal properties • professional license occurrences • connections to businesses Additionally, At a Glance will also indicate the presence of criminal or arrest records, bankruptcies, judgments or liens and notices of default and/or foreclosed real properties. The subject’s Name Variations, Social Security Number and DOB information displays. Any other individuals who may share a SSN with the subject also appear in this section. Depending on your subject, you may see flag indicators. These flags indicate a potential risk, which may prompt further investigation. For more information, refer to Risk Indicators.
Lastly, where available, any physical characteristics about the subject will display in the Physical Description section. To collapse this section (or any section) you may Click the collapse button to the left of the section title.
You may also uncheck the display option for the section on the Find A Person search form, under Report Display options; or uncheck the display option from the screen that is presented just before the report displays.

The Address Information section contains a summary of the subject’s addresses. These addresses may be locations where the subject has resided or locations of properties owned. The Address Summary Table is rich in both content
and features. The
table displays addresses attributed to the subject in reverse chronological
date based on when we were able to associate the subject and the address.
The table
displays: • The full and most complete form of the address • A current/prior designation • The date range in which the address was attributed to the subject • A phone number associated to the subject at the address • And links to the Property History and Location Reports
Click the push-pin icon to generate a map of the address: Additionally, for each address you can click on the plus symbol to display
more information, such as neighborhood characteristics and other persons
associated with that address and subject. Other
persons may be possible relatives or roommates.
The table has features at the top with which you can show/hide the details for all addresses or filter out prior addresses.
Note: a subject may have more than one current address. This may be due to owning multiple residential properties, seasonal addresses, transition between addresses or data errors.

The Licenses/Voter section of the report contains driver license, voter
registration other license information issued from a government agency
– such as: • Professional licenses • Healthcare licenses and/or sanctions • Pilots licenses • Sport licenses – hunting, fishing, etc. • Weapon permits As in other parts of the report, additional details about the license
or registration can be seen by clicking the plus symbol on the row, or
showing all details using the Details widget at the top of the report.
Also, specific kinds of content can be filtered from display using these check boxes.

The Real Property section contains information pertaining to real estate assets associated to the subject. Properties are displayed by the most recent property associated to the
subject to the least recent property. As
such, properties the data indicate as still owned by the subject are displayed
first, with a “current” status. Properties that the subject no longer
owns are listed beneath current properties. Past
properties can be suppressed from display be unchecking the Show Prior
widget at the top of the Real Property table.

The Personal Property section of the report contains information about
motor vehicles (MVR), watercraft and aircraft associated to the subject.
As in other parts of the report, you can restrict the display to only
current properties and/or filter the types of properties that display.

The Possible Education section will contain information pertaining to enrollment records attributed to the subject, typically college-level institutions. The address contained in the details is the address on record for the subject while enrolled at the institution. | |
This section contains possible criminal, arrest, sexual offender and department of corrections records attributed to the subject. | |
This section contains bankruptcy records attributed to the subject. | |
This section contains judgment and lien records attributed to the subject. | |
This section contains UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) records attributed to the subject. | |
The Associates section contains information and references to other legal entities. This area of the report is divided into the following subsections:
Possible Relatives This section contains people associated to the subject which the data indicate may be relatives. LexisNexis categorizes possible relatives into three separate levels or “degrees”. Basically, first degree relatives are persons in our data most closely related to the subject, such as a spouse, sibling, child or parent. Second degree relatives tend to be relatives closely related to the first degree relatives. From the subject’s perspective, these tend to be relationships such as aunts, cousins, in-laws, etc. Third degree relatives are close relatives of the subject’s second degree relatives. By default - and for clarity - only first degree relatives are displayed. Where a relationship “branch” is present, that relative will have a plus symbol indicating that you can expand that row to reveal second degree relatives. Likewise, with the second degree relatives displaying, where third degree relatives exist there will be an additional plus symbol to expand that “branch”. Also, all branches can be expanded by clicking the “Show all details” in the Details widget at the top of the table.
Other Person Associates This subsection contains persons associated to the subject other than possible relatives. These could be possible roommates, a possible relative who could not be identified as such, or a person co-appearing in a record with the subject – such as a buyer or seller of a property. Neighbors Neighbors display the people living near one or more of the subject’s addresses. Neighboring businesses will not appear in this section – only people. For more information about a specific location, use a SmartLinx® Location Report. Business Connections This section contains businesses at which the subject has been associated as having an operational or managerial title. So, where the subject is identified as being a president, owner, member (LLCs), etc. – these businesses are represented separately and distinctly from the next section. Businesses in this section will often appear in the following section as well.
Possible Employers This subsection contains all businesses with which the subject has been attributed as some sort of contact or affiliated to the company in some way, regardless of role or title. Business Associates This section contains all other business with which the subject is associated.
Co-appearance in a source record qualifies as an association for this
subsection. Examples
include a business which bought or sold a property from the subject, or
a mortgage or lease provider. | |
